Grenzenlos Deutsch: an OER Curriculum for German Language and Culture
Join the co-directors of the Grenzenlos Deutsch project for a brief presentation that outlines the project, its goals, and its creation process. This overview will be followed by time for questions and discussion. Note that Grenzenlos Deutsch was nominated for an Open Publishing Award, and the team is honored--and eager to share information about the project.
Grenzenlos Deutsch is a full-year German-language curriculum intended as an open, no-cost alternative to current, more traditional textbooks in the field. It mixes materials rooted in real-world, contemporary communication scenarios, multimedia content, and online learning activities. The Grenzenlos Deutsch curriculum ensures that the topics of discussion in the language classroom are relevant to and reflect today’s world.
